Building Better Habits

After being diagnosed with thyroid disease at the age of 18 without any lifestyle or nutritional guidance for healing, I would later learn the impact of food on healing the body. My initial interest in nutrition, however, first stemmed from working with a nutrition coach myself to see and feel changes to body recomposition and performance. Learning more about the impact of nutrition from coaching in the CrossFit space then led to a more holistic approach to wellness as I continued to struggle with symptoms of thyroid disease I began discovering dietary protocols and lifestyle changes that would further support hormone health and wellness. With newfound energy for life and feeling better than I ever had prior to my diagnosis, I left a job that left me unfulfilled to acquire nutrition certifications and begin coaching others toward healthier ways of living to feel better and tap into a newfound potential within themselves. I received my Precision Nutrition certification in 2018 and Working Against Gravity coach certification in 2019. I have been coaching nutrition since 2018, continuing to learn and grow each year. Rachel Holcomb Nutrition Co. was established in 2020 as a Working Against Gravity Affiliate and has been consistently named a top-five affiliate. I am passionate about continuing to build a career and business around supporting others in their own journey incorporating all aspects of wellness practices for feeling and living better!

Our Program

Our program uses an online platform to deliver health and nutrition guidance from anywhere; offering convenience, responsiveness, flexibility, and affordability. Coaches use an individualized approach to nutrition education and coaching, meeting clients where they are at and setting realistic lifestyle goals each week. We primarily use macronutrient coaching along with habit tracking to build and set goals. This process is a collaborative experience between coach and client to support realistic goals that can be maintained with intrinsic motivation to follow through on daily habits. We focus on building consistency with nutritional intake as well as various wellness habits including sleep, hydration, and movement. Clients are taught the flexible dieting approach that is available with macronutrient coaching, with the primary focus on daily protein intake. We offer alternatives to tracking macros and educate on micronutrient intake and adjustments to total calories to meet current and future goals. With weekly coach check-ins and coach messaging available five days per week, clients can feel supported throughout their coaching experience. The goal is for each client to leave the program with the knowledge to fuel their bodies adequately and understand when it is appropriate to make nutritional adjustments to feel and perform their best throughout their lives.
